Sean’s debut Brisbane photographic exhibition opens on Thursday 25 June at the exciting new ‘VS Gallery’, situated at ‘The Fort’ artspace, 57 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley.  Entitled ‘Karnivalesque’, this series of works is an updated and revised version of the collection shown in Melbourne earlier this year and features twenty-five large scale photographic images exploring theatricality, dark glamour, hyper-reality, humour & sexuality.  The subjects of the photographs are comprised of physical performers, actors, musicians & circus performers - all from the vibrant & exciting ‘underbelly’ of the Brisbane performance/cabaret scene including acclaimed groups Polytoxic and The Brides Of Frank.  The images in ‘Karnivalesque’ are intended to amuse the mind, excite the senses and confront polite sensibilities.
	Sean has been invited to contribute three photographic works to the upcoming GLBT Pride Festival Visual Arts Program.  Opening on Thursday 18 June, the exhibition will be at Joshua Levi Galleries, @ The Old Antique Store, 2 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba and run for two weeks.
	From May 2009, Sean will be working from the photographic space that is part of the brand new artspace ‘The Fort’.  The Fort is situated on the corner of Brunswick & Water Streets, Fortitude Valley and more information can be found here.
